I had been put off by the ridiculously large exhaust on the factorybike.

Another of the group was riding a new to him 2003 BMW LT1200 with fixed floorboards. Here's what happens when they bite the black top and don't fold up.



Broke the front half off.

Lifted the rear wheel off the ground, he stayed on the bike and slid it gracefully into a nice lush damp ditch on the side of the road.

He now has regular fold up footpegs fitted.

I had several Duc's over the years and love 'em,, but,, none of them looked like that.. Good bikes..

That BMW had lowered pegs as well as floorboards..they do hit the ground earlier. Glad he made it out ok..
That Duck looks mighty mean..Had a buddy in Germany buy a Mike Hailwood replica, that was a really nice ride, dealer threw in a custome made set to leathers to go with the bike.
