My vote... not that it matters at all... is west.

I regret NOT going to the ones in Frisco Co.  I'll be going west next summer one way or the other.

I agree.  Central and northern California or southern Oregon.  You could ride the pacific coast highway or hit any number of great towns like Chico or Eureka.

Precisely why I suggested Regional Events.  Some folks could do a CA or OR event, I couldn't.  Don't expect the vast majority of West Coast folks to make it to an event on the East Coast either.  Distances are too great for those with limited time/money.  That's why the National Event is normally held in the Central US (in my opinion).

Also, my opinion is that Regional Events held during the milder weather for the location would draw more folks from that region that would never consider going to a National Event due to time, distance and money constraints.  During hot weather, northern states would be a better choice in most cases but obviously, that changes with the weather patterns.  Southern States woud get earlier Spring and/or later Fall Events.

The attendance would most likely not be as large at any singular event but, I'll bet the whole would be greater than the singular National Event and presumably the weather (temps) would be more predictable.  Actually, I'm probably wrong about that.  We all knew Eureka Spring was predictably hot and it lived up to all predictions.  Don't get me wrong, if it's held there in 2013, I'll do my best to be there.  Just my opinion, it isn't worth much but, it's all mine.   :)
The folk's that own this site make money off InZane you're regional plan would effect that. We've had as many as 150 plus show-up for the ride Don ( Highbinder ) and I do every June. I'll have 50 plus show-up in Robbinsville ,NC in 10 days from now for The Fall Color Ride Oct.19-20-21( we sell the motel out year after year ).The Indiana ride last month had 50 plus bikes show-up....We are doing '" regional rides " and unlike  InZane it does'nt cost anything to attend all you need is a bike, gas & food money.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

My vote is for the West.
The Pacific NorthWest would be the best.
Cooler in the summer and the rides are great!

Yeah, that's it! Somewhere in there!

For those of you asking for the regional ride READ THE BOARD there is a list of many in differnt locations around the country, priced wright and close to you!! INZANE is an event not just a ride. I will ask, when INZANE was within 2 days ride did you go or not? If not then you probaly would'nt go know matter where it is.

Sorry, I don't agree, there are not VRCC Sponsored Regional Events, there are events that different folks host, set up or organize.  They may use the VRCC forum to advertise or recruit but, that doesn't make it a VRCC event.

But, I do agree with your point to a certain extent.  Whether or not Regional events would get folks to come is debatable.  Attendance will always depend on the economy, marketing and the desire to attend by those who can come.  Won't know till we try it.

OK. I just got back from a nice long ride with a bunch of folks that seem to ride Valkyries. I didn't check their dues receipts but I'm pretty sure the club was well represented. We went from Los Angeles to Crater Lake, Or. and then some. Anybody that wanted to ride along was welcome. Worked for me. Thanks SoCal VRCC. Posted a few pics and stuff here so ya'll could see the fun. Missed out on the vendors and hot dog onna string deal, tho. 8)

I thought you guys were nuts "Arkansas in the summer" I saw that and went the other way.

Me I like heading north in the summer.  Ever hear of "Radisson, Quebec" it's the fartherest north you can go on paved roads east of James Bay.  A really great ride, the last 375 miles there is only one fuel stop, 240 mile upthe road. Or the coast of the St Lawerence Seaway. I Like the Churchill, Manitoba  idea, but I don't think you can get there by road.

Or any where up north. N PA, NY's Finger Lakes, the Thousands Islands, how about N MI.
