This job is going to suck.

Terribly.

Don't know how I'm going to be able to face it day to day.

Lotsa travel mainly in the SE but some around the country.

What???

You want to know what I'm going to be doing and where I'm going????

Some friends have formed "The Roswell Food Group" and in partnership with Jeff Foxworthy are launching a range of "Grit Chips".

Well I'm still going to be driving.

Something a tad bigger than my school bus.

I'm going to be driving a 42 foot Tiffin Phaeton RV with Jeff Foxworthy's mug plastered on it advertising "Jeff Foxworthy Grit Chips"

http://www.roswellfoodgroup.com/about.html

My first on site location will be at Hampton Motor Speedway south of Atlanta over Labor Day weekend.

http://www.speedwaymedia.com/?p=46270

After that there will be more NASCAR events to attend and college football and some NFL games to name a few.

The Jeff Foxworthy Grit Chips will be launching soon nationwide in Kroger grocery stores (over 3,500 stores) so keep your eyes open for the free standing aisle display and make sure you buy a few packets (boxes  ;D) to ensure my pay check. Thank you.

I should be going to pick up the "Grits mobile" this Friday in Charlotte and driving it back to Atlanta for a NASCAR party at the Roswell Tap http://www.theroswelltap.com/ this Friday evening.

So if you see a black RV with Jeff Foxworthys face on it trundling down an Intersate at some point in the future give me a toot and a wave.

If you have adequate retirement/ Social Security then school bus driving is great. If my bank account was large enough for me to drive the bus until I couldn't I be happy as a pig in poo. Don't forget the health plans associated with being a peon government employee.

Once the kids see that you respect them they respect you. I always preface any "behaviour modification" requests with a please and end with a thank you.

Every kid gets a good morning as they climb the bus steps. Half don't answer but I do know they are listening.

You Might be a Redneck If:

You think the stock market has a fence around it.
You think the O.J. trial was the big Sunkist and Minutemaid taste test.
You've ever lost a loved one to kudzu.
You own a home that is mobile, and fourteen cars that aren't.
Your ironing board doubles as a buffet table.
Your dad walks you to school because you're in the same grade.
Your underwear doubles as your bathing suit
You have used a bar stool as a walker.
You have the electronic singing fish in more than three rooms in your house.
You've ever been too drunk to fish.
Your boat has not left the driveway in 15 years.
Your front porch collapses and kills more than three dogs.
Your coffee table used to be a telephone cable spool.
You keep a can of Raid on the kitchen table.
You've ever used a toilet seat as a picture frame.
Your Christmas ornaments are made out of spent shot-gun shells.

Your home has more miles on it than your car.

Congrats and thank you Britman!
If you hadn't gotten this job I never would have had the opportunity to see the word "folderol / falderal" twice in the same day.
The fact that I have never once heard that word used makes it even better.

I doubt it because the wrap graphics might get obscured.

Once I get on site I'm going to be pretty busy until it's time to pack up and leave. I am going to see if I can take my bicycle with me so I can do a lap or 2 around the race tracks  :D

This could be a stepping stone to driving the Girls Gone Wild bus.  When that happens, you'll likley have lots of volunteer helpers.....starting with me! ;)

DAMN  :coolsmiley:

You gotta sell a butt-load of Grit-Chips to pay for that thing  :o

It's a 2008.

I think getting the first order to supply every Kroger in the USA helped the company.

I'm sure the company CPA knows how to write this expenditure down.

Drove to Charlotte today with my to be new boss (friend of 15+ years) in a rental Lincoln MXS, very nice drive.

Then returned to Atlanta in the S.S. Grit Chip tour bus.

What a monster at 42' 6" and 12' 7" tall but drives like a very long plush car.

It has a diesel pusher Cummins ISC 380 HP/1050 Lb. Torque.

So smooth it's hard to tell you're zipping along at 70mph.

The economy setting is good for interstate cruising. Speaking of which I saw a black I/S in a trailer on its side stand heading north on I85 at about 10.30 near Greenville, NC.

The economy setting is not favorable for intown driving. The monster finds it hard to get going.

Got back to Roswell, GA at about 7.30. Picked up some of the Grit Chip investors and took them to the Roswell Tap. Also owned by my new boss. Had the police stop traffic so I could park up at the front of the Tap.

Then show and tell for a couple of hours. We ahd the Pace Car for the Labor Day weekend NASCAR races at Hampton Speedway on display as well.

Then at departure time I ahd the police stop traffic in both directions on a 4 lane with median so I could reverse out and do a 180 so I could head home.

The S.S Grit Chips is parked kerbside outside my house for the night.

Tomorrow we are going to provision it with stuff and work out how all the systems operate.  :D
Especially the frickin A/C!!!

I've been trying to upload a short video of the S.S Grit Chips to Youtube from my Android but no success.
