I think I'm being fleeced, no wonder most people work for my current company and then disappear after a month or so.
nobody know what the pay scale is I guess it fluctuates alot, I get paid 23% of the load.
so when I haul a load of limestone 58 miles from the quarry to the power plant I get a whopping $21.62, so that means the company is only getting less then $100? not possible considering the staffing in the office, mechanics, insurance, and fuel I only get about 5.2 MPG.

then one of the drivers that's been there for about a year let slip that if we dump a contaminated load at the power plant they will charge us for it, about $500.?!?!

I'll admit math isn't my strongest subject but isn't 23% of $500 = $115?

I'm carpet bombing the area with applications. I hate being lied to, I should be used to it by now after all I'm just a dumb truck driver :uglystupid2:

How are you with kids?  Schools's going back and most school corp's are hiring bus drivers. Atleast you'll get most of the riding season off that way!!!

no but my Aunt in Virginia was my bus driver all through school. I got away with NOTHING!! :tickedoff:

Then you ought to know you can't get by with duct tape, just saying.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.
