Hey Connie !

How ya makin out with dat ankle?  You probably already know about these but my wife cracked her ankle last summer and we rented one of these (knee scooter) during her rehab and she LOVED it as she couldn't deal with crutches to get around.  Once she got this there was NO holding her back!  Anyway, hope you're felling better and on the road to a complete recovery !

Hey Neil... this sux!
PT tried out one the knee rollers at the hospital, but something was wrong with it.  So, I took the walker... knowing I hate crutches.  The walker sux too.  Michael bought a cheapy WC, but it's got little wheels that I can't reach to roll myself.  And nothing fits through the bathroom door.

I may call the med suppy place in the morning and figure out how to get a knee roller.

Got a massive rash under the bandages... itches like crazy!!

Did I say this sux?  >:(

Oh, but thanks for asking!  :)

Well good luck in your search for the knee walker...we got our rental through a local hospital rehab and she only needed it for one month.....wife's had decent size wheels and could get into any room in the house....over any carpet or tiles, brick pavers, cement, grass, you name it...in the shopping mall or any stores I would just ask her where she wanted me to meet her cuzz I couldn't keep up with her scootin from store to store.  :cooldude: :cooldude:

Hey Grannie Wimp, I went through the rehab store (rental) that was part of the hospital.

They had anything I wanted to rent and then some.      They also stuck me in a WC that I could travel around in with my good leg, it's wheels also were little fellers.   Kind of a pain in the arse if I had to go across a gravel parking lot.   That was when I made them push me.  LOL.

Stay cheeerful Grannie Wimp, you will get along just fine.......

Tell da SAWB, I said to make sure you get what ya want.

Connie...  I bet it is really hard to sneak up and shoot someone in the back with a water gun using a walker!  Take care and heal up soon.     ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey Neil, got a knee scooter today... but I can't keep 'Lit Bit and Psycho from playing with it.
Thanks for bringing it back to my attention, I had kind of forgotten about it.  Since the injury was technically industrial, I just wanted to make sure someone else paid for it.  ;)

Also, went to the doc today to show him my lovely rash and got him to do away with the immobilizer and most of the dressing crap... so I'm traveling a lot lighter, if nothing else.  Sutures and staples to come out on Thursday, then we can head to AZ for a few weeks.

I sincerely hope you're feel'n better and getting around without too much trouble Connie, get well soon.

I also did a little checking in that I don't know the laws in AZ for special tags on vehicles.  Found our that Granny Gimp has too many letters for your Valkyrie but, their are other possibilities.  Should you wish to discuss this further, please let me know.

Great !  Glad you found one and it's working out for (????).   If those two "insist" on  leaving your stranded like that just make sure you have them at your beck and call to do ALL you bidding.....beverages, snacks, breakfast in bed, all household chores, wash and wax the car and bike etc....glad the rash/itch issue (Psycho?) is solved also !    ;>)  Anyway, just a matter of time now and hope it passes quickly.    :cooldude:
