Sept 16 - Tulsa, OK.  Some DFW folks are riding up back roads on Saturday, the 15th for this Sunday morning event.  Join us or meet us there if you're up for a ride aimed at saving kids' lives from cancer.  Here are the details   http://www.pbtfus.org/rideforkids/events/2012/oklahoma.html

Sunday, Oct 7 - Grapevine, TX in the DFW area.  10th anniversary ride.  Texas VRCC was the top club last year and will be the first club in line behind these precious kids.  VRCC riders from all points are welcome and invited to join us in the top club spot.  We have had folks come in from Houston, Austin, San Antonio and 3 or 4 other states for this and enjoyed it and the comaraderie.  http://www.pbtfus.org/rideforkids/events/2012/dallas-fort-worth.html

For those who may not be familiar with this ride, it benefits kids with brain tumors/cancer and some of the local kids who are fighting this disease go with us on the ride and have lunch with us riders  afterwards.  Here is a great 5 minute video introduction http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4jtsRQvP6c#ws

VRCC members have been great supporters for these kids and their families by participating and being volunteers at the event.  If you would be willing to volunteer and don't already have the volunteer info, you can either PM me or leave a reply here and I'll be glad to get you the info. Volunteers are done with tasks in time to ride the event.

Hope you can join us!  Please invite your other (non-valk) riding friends to join us as well. This is really about saving kids' lives and not about what bike we ride.

You can also check the above website for the national ride schedule as there are 40 events across the US during the year.

Good to see a number of Valks show up in Tulsa.  If I saw them all, there were 4 others besides mine.  Nice one with ghost flames of a guys who showed up with his little girl on pillion.  Lots of good tire kicking. Great backroads up and back and even a few curves thrown in on 56 and parts of 377 with some sweepers.

Come on down and join us on Oct 7 for the Texas version for these kids and you'll meet a whole lot of the Texas VRCC and most of the guys who come to town for it make their way across the street to Bass Pro Shops and/or take a ride to Cabelas and Cheaper Than Dirt.  We usually get the out of town folks together for dinner on Saturday night, too, so shoot me, Disco, Rainmaker or Wanderer a note if you're coming and we'll include you.
