 Today I rode my 2000 red and black tourer about 200 km and turned it over to its new owner. It was a beautiful day for a ride and I found it somewhat comforting to know that it was going to a real rider and not a poser. Jack is a convert from HD and was truly excited to be getting the Valk. This winds up another chapter in my life. I'll be staying around and at least viewing the forum here. Thanks for the read.  :'(

Good time to sell at least. With the Canadian winter coming, you won't even miss it until next spring.

For us that RIDE it's like giving up a member of the family. At this particular point in time i just COULD NOT imagine going out to her cave and she not being there. I know deep down inside my day be coming and i hope i can face it with a certain amount of grace. I'll be thinkin of some folks from/on this board everytime i throw a leg over fire her up and roll.  :cooldude: I guess knowing yer old ride is still in the wind might bring some small measure of comfort to you. Who ever owns her now i hope they RIDE SAFE.

Ouch!!! It's really gotta hurt.  I dread the day I have to stop riding.  Been doing it for 43 years and would miss it more than anything.

Thanks Rick. The Valk has exceeded all my expectations. It's a beautiful ride. It's gets out on the pavement 3 or 4 times per week.

I never thought I'd be thankful for a rad on a bike but the other day I was in grid lock for 45 mins in downtown Toronto with 29 degree weather. Bikes beside me were shutting down to prevent over heating, not the Valk.

Hey Hollywood Welcome to the group. Great bunch of folks here.You got a very good bike of Ricks there. A little late in the season to meet up  now but come by the VRCC display at the spring International show  by the TO airport in March. Will be there.

Don't let it be your last ride. I and a lot of others just transition over to a trike. You now have the whole winter to do your research.

Rick I can only imagine the what if's going thru your mind. I know we all will get there..........if we make it. At 61 yrs old and only 45k or so on my current 97 tour, I expect She will wear me out long before She does. I remember the long time between bikes from age 21 to 41. Everytime I saw a bike my clutch hand would start to twitch. I so do not look forward to that again. Best of Luck !!

Also many of us started on the VOAi http://www.valkyrie-owners.com/ the oldest existing Valk site and many of us still go there for info or just to see what's going on. Any question on the Fat Girl will most likly be answered quickly or is already archived. Can't believe we are at VRCC #34.562                   Jim #166
