the fed is going to print more money, but to listen to the radio reporters they made it sound like it's a good thing. more printed money means yuor money is now worth less, if they keep this up your money will be worthless!  :tickedoff:  the wallstreet journal reporter said (yesterday) "the markets are up today on the news that the fed may provide more ECONOMIC STIMULUS"    that's pretty near a direct quote.

fox today said almost the same line.  this is not good news, I wonder if this round will bring about monetary inflation... :-\

Some more of that quantitative easing the fed seems to like.  No wonder they're all stimulated.

And I'm sure this has nothing to do with the looming election.  Like pushing up some economic numbers in the next couple months Zero can claim credit for.

I don't understand how this is supposed to help normal folks. It's not like the company is going to start paying me more just because there's more $ floating around.
... and as I shifted into second I couldn't remember a thing she said.

Printing more does tend to keep inflation down,, but,, it sure de-values the dollar.. Which is worse,, inflation or de-valued dollar ??  I honestly don't think most folks realize about what happens to the dollar,, but,, don't like the news channels talking about increasing inflation.. Its a sad state of affairs..

here's an even bigger question, if this is supposed to stimulate the economy why hasn't it already with the first several rounds of printing?

A while back I said that the Fed like European banks was simply printing moh money, moh money.

A couple of "progressive" members beat me up telling me that the Fed would never do such a thing.

I think both of them faded away without ever being able to quantify their claims.

Anyone remember Germany in the early 30's when one had to push a wheelbarrow of money to buy a loaf of bread???

It's pretty clear.............. all they can do is spend, and regulate.

the plan, which is actually the UNs plan is to bankrupt the world financial system so a three world currency system (dollar, euro and yen) can be started which biblically will lead to a one world currency.
in regards to the 3 world currencies just google the G20 countries which started to call for this in their meetings a few yrs ago. reuters was one of the news agencies that carried the stories.

The velocity of money is at its lowest rate since the great depression. The stock market is at its highest closing since 2008. All of the money printed and given to the banks was used to boost the price of stocks from their low of 8000 to where they are now.....

This will not end well for us :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude:

WE NEED TO abolish the fed and get back on the gold standard. IF there is any gold left in fort knox

I believe if you listen to the news today, yes it pushes stock prices up in hopes that it stimulates the economy.

Even Uncle Ben stated that without Congress fixing the financial policy this may not work.

Stagflation and inflation are already the norm here.  Oil prices have gone up as well as the cost of gas, food, and other items.

No help for the Middle American.  Loans rates may be at an all time low, but because of new banking rules, most Middle Americans can't get a loan.

Circle the wagons folks.

If the economy is getting better, as the administration kept saying during the convention, then why the need to print more money?  Seems like a contradiction to me.  And more, lowered value money DOES lead to inflation.

I actually remember that picture in my history book, the teacher told us the mark hit lows sooo low it took a dump truck to buy a loaf of bread. I still remember the pic of people that papered the walls of their house with money.....   :-\ :-\
