It's on my 99 Interstate, appears to be factory not aftermarket.  ???

used to plug in a cd player? or the cb.

there are two coming off the radio. one is for the c.b the other is for a cd player that mounts in the left saddlebag.

I'd love to do a proper I-Pod/IPhone integration.

That is the plug you would connect to for the passenger headphone/mic setup.

Should be another one with a hold clip on the left front speaker pod. As your sitting on the M/C. RIDE SAFE.

No, that connector is on the left side below the back seat.

My IS has the headset connect for the driver on the left side of the dash in a clip. And the passenger is also on the left side just below the passenger seat.

Sugarbear is correct.  It is for a factory CD player.  Mine had it too and I have the CB and both driver and passenger headset hookups.

probably the radio fits something else that had one.
wasn't offered as an option.THAT I KNOW OF.
