Hay and Eli came by today, and we spent the day working on Valks!!!!
 Jimmy replaced the clutch on his bike,...  we found several rivet loose and wandering around in the basket.... and Eli synced his carbs.... 2 for 2  and it was all ended up GOOD..... except for Jimmy hitting Eli's finger with a hammer...LOL....   at least it was a rubber mallet!!!!!!
 FB cooked up a Really good pot roast... and we had a fine meal...and got a couple
valk running top knotch!!!!!
 It was a good day!!!!!!
I could hang with Jimmy and Eli ALL day!!!  good Folk!!!!!

Thanks for the plug Mark, but you and Jimmy get all the credit. I said Amen, when the sync was finished and that's about it. A job well done, the I/S really ran great on the way home, no more putt-a-putt putt. The stew was delicious and the wrenching was informative, I learned a lot. I hope Jimmy was as pleased with the clutch repair as I was the carb syncing.

Let me tell you all sumthin.....  That Hot Glue is a master tool maker/fabricator.  He made a tool to compress the clutch pack and it worked like a CHAMP!  I told him he should set up and make about a dozen of them and I could sell them for $50 each, not the $200 Honda wants for their special tool.....  And he made this one out of junk in da junk pile.  Hahahaha.  
Still, hardest part of the day was that danged ole center cover and the chrome petcock cover thingy.  

The pot roast was to DIE for and we ate under the patio.  It was great!

   Except for the ones of me with my tounge sticking out... I tend ta do that when I'm working on stuff...LOL

It was a Good day!!!!!  my theory on junk is..' IF YA HAVE ENOUGH OF ANYTHING..... YA CAN MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF IT'....Junk is in the eye of the beholder...LOL

Lord have mercy on the folks that get this place when I'm gone...LOL...I'm thinkin' several rolloff dumpsters, and a BIG frontend loader....,,,

I find it profoundly cool that there is a picture of Lazer Pat on the wall behind that work bench.

I didn't know him well... but right from the very start he was unduly nice to me...

And he seemed like a person of great merit.

LD, mine just started chattering on takeoff a couple of weeks ago.  I parked it and ordered the parts.  I didn't want to cause any more damage. 
Replaced the plates, spring, and gasket.  It took a good long time, but most of that was taking off all of the bling to get to the back of the engine.

P.S.  My clutch started the chatter on take off at 92,500 miles.
