I am just wondering if there is any difference in a 99- 01?  I got my eye set on a 99 and being the 1 st Interstate I just wondered

Only difference I'm aware of is the year, and the color scheme.

None of note.

They made way more 99s than 00 and 01s put together, so anyone wanting an IS is likely to find a 99.  Both mine are 99s with Made in USA stamped on the motors.

I've been told the stock seat was improved on the 2000 and later models.

The rear brake rotor was different in 2000-2001.  No better, just different.  Hoser

Nope! Mine is a 2001, no polished or coated wheels here. At least not on the IS, which is what I have.
The key thing is to wake up breathing! All the rest can be fixed. (Except Stupid - You can't fix that)

First Valkyrie was an 01 I/S, no polished wheels, also have a 99 I/S, no polished wheels.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.
