The sequential third brake light continuously scans while riding, and when braking it flashes 10 times then goes solid red.

Picked up the brake light from a company called Custom Dynamics(Knight Riderz). Got about a year or so but just put it on back in April this year. They have a couple diffrent sizes and colors to chose. I almost got the smoked lens but then deicided on the red lens. So far I have'nt been pulled over for it but if I do I'm telling him it been very effective, because cagers back off when they see it.   :coolsmiley:  :coolsmiley:

I had one of the Knight Riderz tag lights on my bike for a while.......and I'd asked several leo's about it.  All said the same thing....that is....it's illegal.  Not supposed to have anything flashing on the bike.  Flashing lights are reserved for emergency type vehicles.

HOWEVER....again, they ALL said the same thing.....that no cop (unless he's a jerk) is going to pull you over for it because they all understand that you're trying to be seen and not killed.  BUT, if they catch you doing something stupid, that you'd end up with a ticket for the light.

The reason I took mine off was because I went with clear lens on everything and the Knight Riderz light didn't fit into the clear lens theme.
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

I talked to a cop about my hyper lights, and he said they were fine. He said that they dont turn off between flashes, so they are not really flashing, they are getting brighter and dimmer, and that is not illegal.

I asked that question too.  A modulating brake light is legal and perfecty fine.  The constantly flashing back and forth of the Knight Riderz light was NOT legal according the leo's that I had talked to.

That said, I ran mine for several years and never had a problem with it.  I don't think the light by itself will get you in trouble.....but it might if you get caught doing something else wrong......unless you just run across a cop that hadn't had his donut and coffee yet that day.   ;)

Thanks DavRed, love your set up on your lady is what I'm slooooowly trying to complete on mine fine lady.  My favorite color combo is the blue/ silver. BTW, my sister-inlaw lives in Buckeye, in the Verrado sub division. And to add my comment on the third brake light, here in Colorado NO vehicle is allowed any type of "flashing RED AND BLUE" lights facing forward or to the rear facing, but can have RED BLINKING lights(rear facing)     . If and or when I am stopped for the light my question to the LEO is, "How can I pull someone over with this set of lights on the rear, but I'm allowed to ride with a modulator on in all fifty states???"    :police:     :tickedoff:
