Gee, I wish I could get around a 30K pay salary increase per year.

Come on,  143K to over 170K for what, referring at most 2-3 dozen games per year and then having to go to classes and studying the rules and regs?

Show me the door, I am in for that kinda moola.

Can't be any worse than the replacement refs screwing the Pack out of a win.

I see they are making T-shirts and very funny videos out of the incompetent refs, pretty funny stuff.

While I agree, that's a lot of money (compared to my current wages), it's still the NFL.  They are out there expected to be perfect, expected to be the very best at what they do, and, just like the players, they have to compete for the job.  Why shouldn't they get a competitive wage especially when compared with some of the attitudes they have to deal with.

Yeah, I'm happy with the deal they got, according to the news I watched, they got pretty much everything they wanted and the Owners got the right to get rid of those not getting it right.  I see more instant replay in their future.

If, you've got the skills and the physical ability, go for it.

I would vote to wipe the slate clean and start over with a new season now that the refs are back.

BTW, I'm a Saints fan and we're 0 and 3.  That may figure into my reasoning.

I'm not sticking up for the refs, but obviously like all other professionals, they are compensated for how good they really are! What we have seen in the last 3 weeks has been a total joke. It brings football back to the level we always expect. It will also keep players were getting hurt, because the refs that were on the field had totally no control of the game.
