Yes the reference in the Subject Line is THE DARKSIDE.

This weekend I moved to the darkside using a Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, 205/55/16.  My Goodyear store said they were closing these out and I got it for $130 mounted. 



And yes I've been to the Darkside before on the GL1800 GW that I had.  Love the way it wears and handles.  And please do not flame me as I know I will go down in a blaze of glory and firery death.

Did you mount it or a cycle shop or independent shop.  Did you have to mod the bike to make it fit like most do?  If I put on 8K or more per year, a car tire would be a wise move.  130 including mounting is a great deal since rear cycle tires are at least 180 bucks on up just for the rear tire alone.

I took it off and A Goodyear Auto Service Center mounted it.  I befriended the manager there because he couldn't believe it would work.  The previous manager road bikes and did it all the time for customers.  I didn't have to do any mods...yet.  Did a test ride with the wife on the back and it rub the nut cage under the fender.  I have progressive shocks on the rear so I will try to adjust the preload then if that doesn't work, I'll do the nut cage mod.

different strokes,.... I've rode a bike for a few miles with a car tire. I didn't think it was that bad. I'm thinking that it would be a great thing here in the great-if somewhat flat-state of Florida
