Well the repair continues.  Parts are ordered.  Made my basket removal socket.  Just waiting for the parts to come in. 



46 mm 12 point socket fits like a glove.



Aftermath of cutting the socket.  Still needs a little grinding.





Addition of 2 inch metal pipe joint and some nice welding.  It aint purty but she works like a charm.

You got that right.  My butt was kinda puckering every time I pulled on the clutch.  Thank goodness I did not do it more than a dozen time on the way down to SC.  I

Yep Daniel, seen that myself.  Will dope it up when I go to put it back together.  Taking it down, I was almost afraid it was gonna twist the bolt off.

It's difficult getting to the clutch when you lift at the balance point.  The lift has to go under the engine, which raises the front end only.

Hey Brit.  It is precariously positioned.  But that is where the jack had to be placed.  I've got it tied down with straps.  She's not going anywhere.  It's steady as a rock right now.

I did not know you had the 46mm.  But this one works very well.  It was not that expensive to rebuild.  I've got about 25.00 in it.  But thanks for thinking of me.

Mine looked the exact same as yours did.  But I did not find anything wrong with the inner basket.  But I guess i need to look closer at it for wear.  It seemed ok to me.  My outer basket looked exactly like yours though.  Cut a deep groove in uprights.

Did you replace the inner basket just because or was their damage to the teeth?  I cannot find anything wrong with the inner basket on mine. 
Just curious.

Well if mine is damaged, I cannot for the life of me see where.  I guess I'll walk on the dangerous side.  But I've looked at it up and down.  No digs or gouges.

I got her torn down and waiting for parts to come in from HDL.  They should be here Friday.  You were right it was a pretty simple tear down.  Just had to modify my socket for some length.

What do you mean fluid level???  The clutch fluid?  I did not take the clutch apart.  I just removed the 3 bolts holding the slave piston to the clutch cover and pulled it away.  If that is what you are referring to.
