According to the local weather channel next weekend will be peak fall colors for the beautiful east Tennessee mountains. The Fall Color Ride is going to be awesome this year

Got my fingers crossed for a nice cool/warm day and dry roads.Got my bike ready to go with a new front tire and new brakes.I'm lookin' forward to seein' everyone again.Pictures below taken today on Lost Ridge just down the road from my house.

Can't wait. Leaving out on Monday morning to take the LLooonnngggg way...............Robbinsville, NC Friday extended forecast shows showers and 66, but Saturday showing SUNNY and 70 degrees, Sunday SUNNY and 68.

Me to also....Stuff is cleaned and checked. Ready to roll. I'll have a rider with me that has never been to the FCR or any VRCC event. He'll fit in nicely with the group.
Don't know yet what time he can leave out but I hope to be in Rville before dark oclock Friday.

By the way. My front tire is getting low on tread so I bought a new shinko to take with me (in the trailer I'm pulling) when I leave out Monday just to be safe. If anyone wants to do a workshop on "side of the road tire replacement" at the FCR, they can use my bike

I'm looking at some scenic roads through western KY and TN which will probably prevent us from making Clinton Thursday night but we WILL be in Robbinsville Friday. Still waiting to hear back from Lee, his wife has not been feeling very well lately so I wouldn't be surprised if he stays home.

Yeah, I saw your post up there. Was hoping to get to visit with you guys. I guess then, we'll have to come up to Bristol area and let you take us on some of those roads up there.
I hate that. But I am just starting this job and I need to make a good impression. Maybe if we get out early, might be able to interstate it up. We'll see what happens.

Kroger hasn't yet cherry picked the Atlanta metro stores they want us to sample visit and my boss has to fly to Pittsburgh Saturday for personal reasons.
