I'm the middle child, my younger sis and older bro are both libs (thanksgiving would be alot of fun but we keep politics out of it) my older bro's girl friend posted a pic showing Obama has cut middle class taxes and Romney will increase taxes on the middle class.

the comments so far have been nearly 3/4 negative for Obama with 2 people pointing out the biggest tax increase in history, obamacare. I was one of the pointers

 I know how you feel. My older sister and her husband are Democrats. They dont talk politics with the rest of the family. The rest of us are Conservative.

Hey I tend to split my vote between the NDP and the Green parties. Mostly NDP though. New leader,Thomas Mulcair, isn't all that bad so far.

Mulcair hasn't helped the NDP's popularity in Alberta, where he is seen to have a poor grasp of macroeconomics.
My prediction:  If Mulcair is still NDP leader during the next federal election (and I have no reason to believe he won't be), he will be the leader to have the largest number of seats lost by the NDP in one federal election.  The NDP's success last time was due to Layton's popularity and Ignatieff's incompetency.  If Trudeau leads the Liberals in the next election and makes no terrible mistakes, the NDP will lose many seats to them.  Harper and the Conservatives may also lose many seats to the Liberals.  We might have another minority government next time.  None of this prediction is based on my hopes, which are another thing entirely.
