Moving at 5-10 mph (stop 'n go) in a long line of cars approaching a red light.  Traffic stops and the next thing I'm on the ground after being struck in the rear and driven into the SUV in front of me.  So far some bumps 'n bruises.  A$$hole Woman cited for admittedly looking down to answer her cell phone. I considered depositing her phone where the sun doesn't shine, but I resisted the temptation.

I'll need front and rear fenders, right side muffler (and baffles ?), directionals, front fork shields, lights plus misc parts n' pieces.  I'm a little concerned about parts availability.  A few years back I had no trouble getting a new rear half of the rear fender (thanx to a hit 'n run), but has anyone experienced any sheet metal parts shortage as of late ?  Any alternative suppliers, solutions, etc. would be welcomed.

thanx,
bill

Now that really sucks! And there's never going to be any real panalties for this crap. It would suit me if it was an automatic license suspension and cancellation of insurance if it could be shown that a cell phone was involved in a collision. But, ya know what, there's not any real panalties for drunk driving so it's always gonna be ok to just say "I'm sorry. I was busy with my phone".

There isn't any parts shortage that I know of, only what is thought to be a shortage. Pinwall has plenty of Valkyrie parts.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Be polite. Be professional. But, have a plan to kill everyone you
meet.

Hope your ok and the bike can be fixed. It's the same BS people don't pay attention. Cell phones or what ever. Sorry you have to deal with it. I think you will find parts new and used with out problems.Hopefully the insurance company treats you fairly. That may be a bigger issue.
