It is magnetic and I found it stuck on my left engine guard toward the bottom. I am at a loss and it bugs me of what it is. It looks like something in an electric motor!  It's 2"X 1/8" and has a black magnetic strip on one side.
Thanks!

The government guys that wear dark suits and sunglasses are NOT going to be happy that you found that.  Keep looking behind you for those black helicopters that make no noise and let us know if you get away.... ;D

I believe it is meant as an aid to activate traffic signals that the bike won't activate.  Can't comment on the success, have never tried it.  Or what drifter said.  Hoser  ???  8)

Finding one may put you at risk of vehicle seizure by the Feds.
If the Feds find out that you have this part, claim total ignorance.

It fell off a Harley.  DON'T THROW IT AWAY.  Soon you will have several Harley parts collected - then you can show them at your booth at the next local Harley swap meet.  For sure the Harley riders who lost them are distraught and will part with great sums of money to get them back.

+1
Harley owners use that to collect the parts that fell off along the way to getting there.    :2funny:

I have taken notice to those who use that word (Precautionary) and abide by it are not only very happy in life...

I agree with you. A magnet to trip some traffic lights. I bought a couple several years ago. never was sure if they worked or not.
You stick them on bottom of frame, usually.

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous.
It is however, extremely unforgiving of: inattention, ignorance, incompetence or stupidity.
