Door County Wisconsin Ride Help

I'm thinking about riding to Door County this weekend. I'm looking for suggestions of towns to stay in and a couple of day rides from there.

Good choice for a ride, but you better get going, or finding a place to stay will be tough.  This time of year is usually busy for fall colors, but they may be past peak with the weather we've had the past two weeks.   

If you can, see if you can find a place north of Sturgeon Bay.  There are lots of small towns, and many hotels and B&B's, in places like Sister Bay, Fish Creek, Baileys Harbor...  The list goes on & on.

As to day rides, once you are there, everything is within a couple of hours at most.  I'd plan to get up to Washington Island (a ferry ride), if not to stay, to visit and sight see.

If yer taking the bike, dress warm...  Weather dude sez that a cold front (Thursday night/Friday morning) will have temps at 50 for a high on Friday, and low 40's Saturday & Sunday.

After you pass Sturgeon Bay take Hy T (first you will pass TT then T) to the east along the lake.
Great road.
I was thinking about riding up on Friday or Saturday.

Something came up before I left so I didn't make the trip to Door County, but I kept all the info you both gave me for future reference. The map is especially interesting and "T" looks like a great ride.

It has gotten pretty cold here in Chicago so I don't know if I will make it up this year.

I have been sitting tight at home but getting some of my fall jobs done. I have off this Thur & Fri. I should get out for a ride then.
