They claim 12 to 18 inches of snow in The Great Smoky Mountains tonight with high winds....I have no doubt it will bring down pine tree's all over them mountain's....Hwy 441 across the Smoky's has been closed.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Oss

the BRP is closed between the cross county parkway and the northern end by the Kensico Dam

(Bronx River Parkway)

A few years agowhen we were staying in Pigeon Forger we had to detour around 441 where it goes over the mountain back to Cherokee.....I took the Wife through the Dragon in my truck in wet, miserable weather.....I had cars pulling off the side to let me pass......she said to NEVER take her through there again!!....... :D

I was on the BRP near Asheville today around noon......The wind was really getting' busy then. In some areas the road was nearly covered in leaves and pine straw.
Thank goodness I was in the pick it up truck.  :cooldude: I went up there to get myself some new company paid for hard toe area leatherized foot covering devices.  ;)
