Got in one last FCR before the weather blew all the leaves outta da trees!
Thought we'd share.

Can you see the little devil in the pic?

Twas a might windy up there, haha!

It drop'd 10 degrees before we got off the mountain & we road 170 mi.'s in the rain to get home Sun.
The Gorge was interestin' to say the least. (Sure glad Old No. 7's Darkside!)
Hope everyone's weatherin' the storm okay.
Peace, Whiskey & Sugar.

I've never done more than stop in Chimney Rock and dream about getting far
enough out of town to get away from the traffic... y'all sure do know how
to have fun on a stop  :cooldude: The whole area looks awesome from

"Live free or die." Amen!

Mike, some great roads out that way, 226a Diamond Back, 80n toward BRP, 9 thru Bat Cave, 74w back to Asheville!
We stay'd Sat nite at http://www.carrierhouses.com/Home.html in Rutherfordton. $95 but I figure you'll spend that on a cheap room & breakfast these days anyway.
Lynn & Dan were great host. Hook'd us up with a fine steak house for dinner called Gregorys, http://gregorysonmain.com/index.php jus down the street. Any 2 steaks in the house Sat. nite for $22. Prime rib! Had my Killian's, Sugars Heineken, & frosty mugs!
Lynn made some kill'r stuff'd french toast with apple consume for breakfast.
Highly recommended!

Great pics man! Thanks for sharing. I have been in the neck of the woods many times but never been to Chimney Rock. My wife and I have been to The Biltmore Estate in Ashville, NC several times, I will be sure to visit Chimney Rock next trip.

Looks like a cool place but I would like to see some pics of the trees without their leaves.
Could you please take a run up there and take some updated pics?   Thanks!
