It would be nice to be able to ride home from work on the bike in daylight

430 is kinda early for the streetlights to come on to me anyways

No choice tomorrow as car is almost out of gas so motorcycle will get some windage as it still has half a tank

The lines I saw today were about 1-2 hrs so I just passed em by   A line that streches for six city blocks or more is 1-2 hours

Filled up in Danbury today, no lines anywhere.  It's about 25 - miles for you, so it'll be like wasting 3 - 4 gallons each fill-up.  Was in Mahopac last evening and only one station was open on Rt 6 and they were only selling Super at $4.53 a gallon.  I filled up the gas cans because I needed it for the generator.

regardless of why it used to be, changing from DST to ST and back again causes the loss of productivity in the workplace.   It takes most of us a couple of weeks to make the adjustment and get our bodies into the "new" timeframe.

As far as I can tell, the time for it has passed.  I just wish they would pick one or the other and stay there!

I remember that we learned in school (waaaaaay back) that DST was for the farmers.  Due to the earth's tip on its axis, in the spring and summer months, the sunrise is earlier, so, we set the clocks ahead so the farmers can begin their within the same "daylight" frame (not "time" frame).  I've had a few discussiona about this over the past few years and only one other person said he was taught the same thing,

BTW, my son is in 7th grade and hasn't learned anything about DST.

Heard a story that a farmer was asked if Daylight Savings Time was going to help him be more productive. 
He just said - - "Don't make no matter to me, gotta get up with the chickens anyways."

I hate it, but Sat night I was out at the tt bar and it gave me a extra hour to enjoy the ladies!  

They try and screw us, well they actually do, over this DST and I bet if wage and hour knew about it..... I'd be getting alot of back pay.
