Unix is part of why I have loved my job for the last 30 years...

Today I am studying up on how I might use some arrays with awk in
a script I am writing... I thought y'all might enjoy this quote from the
documentation...

Doing linear scans over an associative array is like trying to club someone to death with a loaded Uzi.
