Thanksgiving is only a week away and marks the beginning of the Holidays.
For a few years now Chili and I have been wanting to help others who arent as lucky as we are.
We arent rich by any means, but manage to get by and enjoy the life we share. Each year we
keep an extra place setting at our Thanksgiving/Christmas Feast, in case we hear of someone
who will be going with out .....They are most welcome to dine with us.

Last year we decided to take it a step further. We kept seeing on the news how more and more
people through no fault of their own were now having to humble themselves and go to Food Banks
and feed their families, and how these places that help with free food were running dangerously low
on supplies....especially up here in the Northern Woods. So we decided that...if we could...we would
gather up two (2) entire Thanksgiving dinners complete with pumpkin pie ...and donate them to our
local Food Bank. We only have one "stipulation" that we ask..and that is they give them to a family
with children. Last year was the first time we did this, and the feeling you get inside is bodacious.

...So if you can....Please join us in helping a family who otherwise would probably go without.
Even if you can only afford one dinner...or just a turkey...or some canned goods. I think it will
make you realize the true meaning of...Thanks Giving....I know id did us.  :cooldude:

.....Happy Thanksgiving from Timbr and Chili..

  we need more like you.

Thanks Timber and Chili.
The food banks also need volunteers. This is very rewarding and humbling at the same time.
Give whatever you can and of yourselves.

Thank you.  I can vouch for the bad shape food banks are in, the wife and I work the food bank at our local church, every week more people show up for food, and our supplies get lower all the time. A lot of family's are having a rough time right now. Really sad to be this way during the holidays. Again thank you, wish more would do this.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Not surprised at all with your generosity...you two are the best.

I have donated for years. I have a lot of mouths to feed of my own but the thought of a family doing without at Thanksgiving kills me. I wonder just how many turkeys we as a group could spread around the country this year. Innocent children do not deserve to go hungry.
If you're lucky enough to ride a Valkyrie, you're lucky enough.

Thanksgiving reminds me of my own personal thanksgiving. April 12, 2004 at 9.30 when I became a citizen of the USA.

This was brought home to me this morning when I saw about 35 new citizens get sworn in on ABC morning news.

Made me eyes tear up.

God bless America.

Thanksgivings is our favorite holiday also.. There are a lot of families in trouble thru no fault of their own,, but,, even so,, we in this country still have a lot to be thankful for.. JoAnn and I have donated for as long as I can remember [ sometimes thats not for very long any more though] as many others have.. I enjoy donating but since I've been ex-communicated JoAnn has to deliver the STUFF..  ;D
