Well the Fun Governor and I have just spent our first Thanksgiving with just us in over 30 years.  Both the boys have moved out one to Wichita and one to New Orleans.   The FG made way too much food for the 2 of us, so I'll be having turkey and stuffing for lunch for quite a while.  That's cool though, it tastes better reheated anyway.

Jason is working for Cessna in Wichita, and Eric is working as a stunt man in New Orleans.  He got started in the movie industry up here in Mi, when our state had the film credit program in effect.  When Gov. Snyder put the kybosh on the film credits, the industry moved to NO.  The movie Eric worked on was Red Dawn, Opening today.  I think I'll go see it this weekend.  He has since worked on several films and a few tv shows.

Here is a bystanders shot of a scene Eric was in, he's the driver of the Humvee
remaking Red Dawn

I don't know if this made it into the film, but he also did a scene with Isabel Lucas, where he throws her to the ground, I think that made it.  He said it was fun wrestling with a hot chick and getting paid for it.

If you see the film, let me know what you think.

When they first started filming this (fall of 2009 I believe) the studio had financial problems when it came time to release.  In the original, it was the Russians that invaded, but in the remake it was supposed to be the Chinese.  I understand that between the financial problems and the fact that the Chinese took offense to them being the bad guys, (and maybe they had something to do with solving the financial problems), that the release was delayed because they went back and made the North Koreans the invaders to appease the Chinese.  I won't know that for a fact until I see the movie.
