Just installed a solo fender rack on my 99 Standard and was wondering what the weight limit is on these. Since they sit on the same screws as the passenger back seat I am assuming you can pack quite a bit on them, but I was not able to find any info via google. Does anyone know?

Load it up until your fender buckles, then remove 75% of the weight.

(really, I have no idea)

I don't have one, but my concerns would be Quality of the rack, welds, brackets, and whether it is made from tube or round bar.  If the brackets are as thick or thicker than the stock seat brackets, and the welds appear solid, then if you can tell if it round bar, than I'd feel safe using if for as much as my passenger's weight.

Somewhere long time ago, and I think it was when I bought my solo rack, a note in it said 75# max.

That is about 50#'s more than I'd care to haul on it.    Dead weight is harder to handle than live weight.

The crap we had to haul on the CHP motors was right over the rear tire where a passenger seat would of been.    It was about 55#'s and it took awhile to get used to it.   It made no difference on the Guzzi's, the Harley's and or the Cog-A-Sock's you had to get used to that dead weight back there.
