I know it has been almost a year, but it's good to watch this video again.  Might have to click on the link below to see the video.

That's cool.  Glad she is still able to fly.  I bet it took lots if money and work to get it back into operating status.

Thanks for sharing.  Don't know that I have ever seen that before.

A couple of years ago we took a bike trip to Midalnd to the Confederate..., OPPS, I mean "Commemortive Air Force" show and "FIFI" was in the hanger with what looked like one engine completely installed, one completely gone, and the other two in various states of repair.

A year or so later I got a email with a vidio of her flying again.
To me there is something great about seeing these old planes, especially when they fly.

It was a great trip and I thought it was going to be a yearly trek but unfortunately we haven't been able to make it back.

FiFi's multi-million dollar restoration was in part paid for by Jim Cavanaugh, which how FiFi came to her new home in Addison's south hangar.  We live near the airport so we get to enjoy seeing her fly on a regular basis - always a spectacular sight, whether from our back yard or while out on our Valk!  The B29B24 squadron takes very good care of her (one of our friends spends many hours keeping her nice and shiny).  If you haven't been over to Addison to see her, you really should.
