At age 14 I rode it from boarding school to my grandparents home. About 15 miles up and down some steep hils. All done with a suitcase strapped to the rear carrier.

Never again.

Peddaliogn hard uphill standing on the pedals would lift the front wheel off the ground.

The 4 speed Sturmey Archer gears hidden in the rear axle weren't much good for uphill.
