Was checking my tires last night. Found the Avon Cobra on the back is coming apart. The tire appears to be seperating there the cuts for traction are. The edges are lifting. Am going back to where I purchased it this morning and have them look at it.
Has anyone else had this problem? Tire only has about 4,000 miles on it.
Will post what  happens after I get back.

What pressure are you running?

Just installed an front Avon Cobra today. I'm not liking what I'm reading about Cobra issues. I'll be watching mine closely... :-\

Like Bagger said, what pressure are you running in it?  I had the same problem with my last Venom and the problem was that the pressure had fallen to 28.  The tire cupped real bad to the point that I didn't feel safe riding on it.  I replaced it and bought a tire pressure gauge.  Now I keep a very close eye on tire pressure.

I always run 42 psi. And check it weekly.
Good news I just got back from the shop. Avon is going to warrenty the tire. They are sending out a new replacement at no cost. The service guy said he had never seen a tire that looked like this one. It is almost like weather cracking down in the tread.
