Just returned from Ft Rucker AL attending our youngest sons graduation from Apache flight school.
Just wanted to share with my VRCC family.

US Army Helicopter pilots are the best in the world.


The Apache is the only Army helicopter that I never got to take a ride in, but I always wanted to.

They are very impressive birds.

Congrats, it does us proud that young men and women strive to excell.  It is a tough program to master, and he will never regret it.  I was there late 60s, and got to fly the first real gunships, AH1s.   The Apache is  so far ahead of them there is no real comparison, but they werent too shabby for their time.  Always felt specail to fly Guns, next best hing to WW2 fighter pilot.  My Dad pinned on my wings, was a very specail day that I will never forget.

Very cool, thank him for his service.  I tried to get a ride in an Apache in KKMC near the border of IRAQ, no way, to top secret, but I did sit in it and made vrooom sounds.  The pilot said he would get me a ride in a Cobra, but I never got to take him up on it.  You have one great son and lucky too. Congrats.
