We just got an Emergency Weather Update.  My, and three other Indiana Counties have been upgraded from a winter storm warning to a BLIZZARD warning.  Starting at 1:00 AM and continuing for 18 hours.  Up to 12" of snow with windy conditions causing drifting.  And we are planning to head for South Bend in the AM to visit my Brother-in-Law and his family for a couple days.  I was hoping to be home Friday evening so I could go to camp and try to fill the freezer with tree rats... er does in Indiana's first post Christmas doe season EVER.

The wife is not thrilled with that plan... But I keep explaining to her that it's for our own safety.  And for the safety of our MC riding brothers and sisters as well.  She's skeptical. :coolsmiley:

We are still in a "winter storm warning" alert as of this afternoon.  They are predicting 5-7 inches of the white stuff and 25mph winds with stronger gusts through the day and evening hours wednesday.

First real snow for us and I'm ready for spring and riding weather.

NOT ready for this :tickedoff:

Come on spring so I can get back to the fun stuff :cooldude:

I worked during our last blizzard 2 yrs ago. Wind was so bad it was snowing in the ambulance.  ;D Only time we ever wore a seat belt in the back.  :crazy2:

We must of had that storm last week.    We got around 10 - 12" and it was wet enough the wind didn't blow it around much.   Where the snow plow put it back in your driveway, the John Deere almost couldn't handle it, but it I'd hit it and immediately hit reverse, after about 8 or 9 tries, it would bust through.   Once through, it was easy going on the rest of the pile.

I know it shore worked the crap out of my John Deere.

1st time it ever took a full tank of gas to blow 3 driveways.    Mine and my 2 elderly neighbors, whose family to too firkin lazy to come over and help them.

A couple of years ago, the one neighbor who is a feisty 5'  5" and weights in at about 130 dripping wet, ripped his oldest son another a**hole for not coming by.  Kid mouthed off something and he told him to get his a** off the property and never show it again.    Believe it or not, the son has tried to come over and the last time the feisty little guy showed up at the door with a shotgun, ain't seen him around since.    So I go do his walk and driveway, every so often he tries to give me gas $$$$, told him back in the day we helped each other out and I'm still doing it even if he can't.    That usually shuts him up for a couple of years.

His wife, bless her soul, always shows up at the front door around Christmas with 5 plates full of home made cookies.    All makes and shapes, man they are good, in fact I'm eating one now that has nuts in it, the Hawaiian nut, can't think of the name.   She also baked me a Pecan pie this year. DELICIOUS and richer than hell.    So, I'm as happy as apig in a mudhole.   Oink Oink.

Were getting a few flakes now. Going out to the farm tomorrow to play on the fourwheelers if I can make it out there. Last report I heard was between 11and 14 inches with 40 mph winds.

That's about what we're expecting too. I'm hoping the deer camp tent stands up to that weight. Guess I'll find out this weekend.
