There have been a very rate of suicides from all branches of service over the past 10 years.

Sad statistics.  I don't get it.  I can understand some, but not all these.    

According to a Veterans Affairs report this Spring, a veteran commits suicide every 80 minutes.  More than 6,500 suicides have occurred since the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan began.  For every service member who dies in battle, 25 veterans die by their own hands.

And, while only 1 percent of Americans have served in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, veterans of these conflicts represent 20 percent of all suicides in the United States, the VA reported.

According to a Pentagon report, more American active service members have killed themselves in the first six months of 2012 than in the first six months of any of the previous 11 years, The Associated Press reported.

  OK sorry Phil57 i should have put sarcasm font in so you would know i agree with willow.   will try to make it more clear next time.  this is exactly like a lot of bullshit posts where someone just copies some item on net that they like and post the same BS here thinking it is the holy truth because they saw it on the net.

I never once stated it was the truth...I guess my point is everything is a lie...period.  Just depends who is sayin it or spinning it in a direction you want to believe.  I try to keep and open mind and read all that is out there.  Sadly, I do feel everything is a lie.  Look at the fiscal cliff deal, Dems won't , Rebs won't, Obummer spent $4mill to go on vaca...does anyone know what the real truth is...maybe you fellas are just smarter than the rest of us...

Let me clear up an item if I can.  I've no problem with Steve's reading what the Islamist site has to say.  Sometimes we need to consider even unreasonable viewpoints to discern what we will accept as our own viewpoints.

I do have a grave concern for posting a link on this board to that site.  When a viewer selects a link from one site to another, the administrators of the linked-to site can determine from where the viewer linked.  That is to say that the "jump" leaves a trace back to the origination site.  When a good number of jumps comes from a particular site the owners of the linked-to site may have their interest piqued and they may begin to target the original site as either a source to be cultivated or a hostile entity to be harassed.  Some of you may remember when one of our members linked us to a hot rod site resulting in the latter.  Incidentally, those who remember the old board format and the deluges of spam should know that is the method the spammers used to target our boards.

As to the subject of the original post, the story can be found, with some effort, in more conventional news sources.  

I personally wonder whether some or all of these deaths were staged to allow these possibly targeted men to have their existing identities replaced.
