  I rung in the new year with my son & his family,who was in from Camp Pendelton, along with 6 Marine wounded warriors & their families. These guys are missing various limbs;one has no legs at all. Yet,their outlook and intestinal fortitude is humbling and inspirational. The way their wives support them and tend to them is incredible. That was the best damn New Year's eve I ever had.

our marine comes home in 10 days-for 10 days.  we can't wait.
