Sunday neighborhood ride...

I took off for a few hours this afternoon, haven't ridden the bike in three weeks or
so... didn't go far, just noodled off a little way and started going down roads I never
go down...

Before I got too far away I came to the Armstrong house... many generations of Armstrongs
passed through this house, I think the land is still a working farm in the family. I met the
last folks to live here back around 1996 or so... I stopped to talk to them about the house,
and they were real nice, I don't remember all the stories they told me about the house and
all the additions to it, maybe it is a cabin at its core?

I think maybe this is Westminster High School...

I came to Pickett Post Road near Walhalla SC, and remembered that this place was somewhere
near there...

Went past this beautiful lake, you could see it near the road I was on (Chalmers Mountain Road)...
it and 120 or so acres are for sale... man, that's where I want to live, in the woods with a
trail out the back door to a place to dive head-first into the lake  :cooldude:

And as would be appropriate for a Valkyrie ride, Smokin' Joe called me - I heard the
phone ringing in my tank bag, but I must have been on the edge of coverage, I tried to
call him back but it wouldn't work... Joe? Joe?... Hello?

Sure looks like a fine day for ridin'. Thanks for sharing. It's posts like this that are so much appreciated when some of us are suffering from PMS.

Some like to ride Fat boys, I think I'll stay with the fat lady

Jess from VA

Nice ride Mike.

Took a little spin myself today.  Nothing historical, just dodging the urban masses, as usual.
