i just found out my father-n-laws girl friend had a son die from that same exact thing.  he was driving to work, and a dear got smucked from an on coming vehicle, it flew into his windshield and hit him. he died two days later......  sad.  i really hate deer......

I saw the aftermath of a moose/pickup truck encounter in Alaska some years back. While the moose got some boogered up the pickup lost big time. Only reason the driver survived was he slid up under the dash. RIDE SAFE.

On patrol one day I saw 4 deer at the side of the road and a line of cars. I slowed, the line of cars went by and 3 deer crossed. 4th deer stood, looked, then as a car came it started to cross. It saw the car and leaped into the air hitting the windshield of the car and just enough of the roof to keep it from going into the car. I spun around, ran up to the car and saw a dazed woman was inside. After the third time I ask if she was OK and she did not answer I told her she hit a deer, she then said she was OK. She did not even know what happened, to her it seemed the deer just came out of the air.

Probably.

While in high school, my two sons hit a cow on the highway returning from BB practice one night.  Almost came thru the windshield, except hit the right pillar quite a bit.  You could tell both boys were wearing their seat belts. Enough cow sh=t came thru, that it looked like they were wearing sashes!  The only clean on their shirts, was UNDER the seat belts!  One light colored sash on each boy!

 This deer vs car happened one night. No one died except the deer.

The driver ducked and the deer went between the seats, roof and head rest and wound up in the back seat
