Is there any reason I should hang onto a factory windshield from a 2000 Valkyrie Interstate? I just replaced it and my thoughts are to toss it but the "hoarder" in the back of my mind says to keep it. It's scuffed like a 12 year old shield would be.
Am I showing my hoarder tendencies or is there a reason to have it ??

i replaced mine last spring and pitched it.  :(  wish i woulda kept it to make a hot summer wind screen.  cut it down to a few inches and paint the inside black.  there are a few on here who have done it, and it looks great.  :cooldude:

I chucked mine away a number of years ago.  If I ever need another, I figure I would be putting on another new one.  Get rid of it.  We don't want to see you on a TV show down the road.  :coolsmiley:

Yeah, practice cutting it before you pitch it... maybe you'll want to keep it after you cut it...

I got a very nice replacement windshield at I-12. I have since taken the old scuffed W/S and cut it down and painted the inside green to match fairly close to the color on my Phatt Gal. Haven't tried it out yet but it's shorter than it was. And it WUZ headed to the scrap heap!!  :2funny: It has now been salvaged and repurposed.  :cooldude: Well actually the same purpose in a new guise.  ;D RIDE SAFE.

I used my old wind shield to make new fork wings when the old ones disappeared during a bird strike.
