I have rode it many miles.  :cooldude:  I wash it all the time. I love to take pics of it all the time.  :crazy2:  I buy lots of goodies for it.  8) 8)   Today I started it up. I had to put a battery charger on it today. It was fun. Im am sad because I cant ride right now it is cold here and lots of snow. :'(  :'(  :'(  :'(   But soon I will get to ride it and have lots of fun on it. Last year I bought tires for it so it would go fast.  :police:  :police:   Did I mention it is blue and gray??? I bought it in June 2008 and have put many a mile on it. I have been to n.m, az, nv, ut,co and alot of other states. :)  :)  :)  Is this fun or what!!!!!!!!!!!!

My original thought in response to Alien, was to post  "Is this post a joke or are you"  but I thought it would be a "stupid F'n pointless argument" ;D ;D

Where is the sarcasm gauge?

After a few years of visiting this site I long ago came to the conclusion that most of the folks that come here are "intelligent individualist" with a vast variety of other interest other than the motorcycle that they ride.  I have always thought that this particular board was created so any member could exercise his first amendment rights, motorcycle related or not.  This is the only place on the VRCC site where this is allowed.  Every other place on the VRCC site is strickly related to motorcycles and that is 99.9% Valkyrie related, although other brands are sometimes mentioned.

So, it is my understanding that on this "General Board" we may discuss whatever we would like and those who would disagree with the subject matter, be uninterested in the subject matter, or have something to contribute can do so if he wishes or move on to the next post.

Such is the freedom of choice of the first amendment.  I think that we should use it to the fullest while we still have it...Jim  :)

Nope, it's not mine.  This is the one that I built.  It's an original steel '32.

I knew that was coming.  I'm not trying to say that we should discuss motorcycles and motorcycles only.  I'm simply saying that I have seen a lot of anger and resentment between members of this forum as of late.  I recently recommended the VRCC to a Valkyrie rider that I met a few weeks ago and after perusing the board, he opted out due to the amount of angry political content.

Browbeating each other with our politics and religion will only serve to divide us.  No amount of argument on those two issues will EVER change anyone's mind.  So, what's the point?

You've all seen the bad feelings that this has created between members.  I thought that I might be able to offer a humorous perspective.

OK, I can see it that way now that you say it was intended to be humorous.  I didnt read it as such and if you go back to your original post and read for face value you will see what I mean.

This here response you just made would have served your original intent much better wihtout stirring up drama and confusion.

I am sorrry i responded a tad sharply knowing now you were being sarcastic......I didnt get it at first

I have never been able to understand this problem. It is so easy to skip threads that you believe you have no interest in, why do people torture themselves reading threads that they know will upset them? It's a mystery to me. I pass by threads all the time. To me it falls into the same category of "I don't like this, so no one should be allowed to do it". Scan the headings, read the ones that interest you, simple. If you don't want to see blood guts and gore, don't gawk at the car wreck!

I took it as sarcastic except for the very last sentence "stupid f* pointless argument".

At that point it reflected how you really felt.

That, of course, is in MHO.  :)

Why don't you post a picture of yourself? Perhaps one of you at Inzane? I guess will be waiting a while to see that one.

Well, I would love to show up at more VRCC events, but with a wife and elementary school aged kids, and the distance to said events, it can be tough to make it a priority.  I did, however, participate in both VRCC Thor's Hammer relays (the second hammer looked suspiciously like a pair of mugs).  The hammer hand-off at the Montana-Alberta border (I'm on the left):

I did make it to Inzane VI in Frisco, CO, but couldn't find a decent photo of me there on the web.  The best I can do was found here http://photo.vrccservices.com/index.php?cat=21 in the Thursday album.  Here I am on the left, caught mid-blink (or was I napping?) at the Chapter Rep supper:

If you (or others) were at Inzane VI, I was the one who demonstrated how to pick up a dumped Valk, and gave a mini workshop on emergency braking and collision avoidance swerving.

Well, nice pics of the bikes and cars. Old Fords with Chevies in them. Its easier. Hehehe, the one is missing its fenders, hehehe, it probably goes so fast it blew them right off, hehehhe. I've always liked the looks [ and operation] of tri-power. Nice cars.
