I know many Valkyrie riders also ride Gold Wings.  Was just wondering what y'all think of this one?

Stopped by the local dealer a few times sice hearing of this bike, but have yet to see it in person.  Motorcycle show is next week I think.  It should be there to see up close and get a feel.

Looks great, would love to ride one. I will always have a Phat Gurl in the stable. I can buy alot of gas for the Phat Gurl for the price it, and the cost of up grades that I would want to do. You know us old farts never really get finished with our rides. I would buy some tickets for the chance to win one though.
Years ago it was Fast Women, Bikes & Old Cars. Now it is Fast Bikes & Cars & Old Women! My My My how things change.

I like my bagger better.

However, if Honda would make a new, updated version of my bike with six speeds, fuel injection and belt drive, I'd be all over it in a heartbeat.

But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

I'll be at the Minneapolis Motorcycle Show tomorrow and I assume Honda will have one there.
I'll clik off a few snaps, post them and report back tomorrow.

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous.
It is however, extremely unforgiving of: inattention, ignorance, incompetence or stupidity.

I like the look a lot better than a Wing but, it's still got too much plastic.
I won't knock it for any other reason than it's price.  I admit I'd like to try one out on a hundred mile test ride though.  Who knows, it might find it's way to my home with a few adjustments.  They appear to be mighty proud of it based on the price tag.  I don't know that it's worth quite that much to me though.  Did I mention it has way too much plastic?  ;)

A Buddy just sold his Valk and ordered a new F6-B. Dealer said he would not see it until March.  Don't think I could let mine go that easy.

Sportcycles of Rockingham NC. has them on sale for February delivery in ebay ad for 18k standard and 19k deluxe, ad states out the door price.

I like on the link you click on either the red color or the deluxe version and all you get is 'coming soon' with NO pics.  Why even put it out there if you don't even have the website ready?

No way would I pay over 20 grand or even 15 grand for any cycle period.  NO cycle is worth that much to me anyways.  I love the deluxe version you get a dinky rear passenger seatback cushion and not much else cosmetically that I could see.  You call that a backrest?

Looks like Honda stole the Victory lineup ideas and tried to copy it just like Honda tried to make a V-twin Fury model look like a Harley.  Their design engineers need to go back to the drawing board and get it right.

Bonzo

I was looking at them and mentioned I might look at them to buy when they make it to the Dealer's. Big mistake..... My daughters threatened to beat me and break my legs with baseball bats, and they weren't smiling. Patty said to use a wiffle ball bat filled with sand, it leaves less bruises.
It might be worth the beatin'.
Woops, I'm sorry.

Too much money and not enough options.

i bought my IS used, the guy i got it from showed me the original reciet, it was $16grand new!! that was 14 years ago.  we just bought a new vehicle, it was twice the price of our last vehicle we bought in '99, also 14 years ago, so when you guys say $20 grand is TOOO much for a new cycle, then you've got to realize you're not completely sold on the style and options of the bike 'cause the price isn't much more then what the Valk was new.

i like the F6B for it's engine, and fuel injection, plus, it looks pretty good other than that rear end, looks like the victory.

I agree, I'v had it twelve years, doubt we'll ever part.  Well, except for the dirt nap thing, it's too purty to take it with me.   ;D  Hoser

Unless Honda did something different with the foot to seat position relationship, I would not be comfortable on it. Besides, even though I make my living selling machines that can make all of these plastic covers, it still does not make me want them to cover up the heart of my Motorcycle - THE ENGINE.  All three of my bikes have a common theme: A big honking engine as the focal point, with a wheel at each end.

For the same reasons that even though I think a GW is one of the best bikes made, I still would not own one. JMHO, YMV.
The key thing is to wake up breathing! All the rest can be fixed. (Except Stupid - You can't fix that)

I was at the show today. The bike looked nice and i would like to own one. BUT for money all the used Valks would have to be gone dryed up. Also seen the bike that was in the lake for fifty some  years. BMW guy if you seen a person with a jean shirt with a dragon and valkyire on it that was me.
And as i shifted into 5th I couldn't remember a thing she said.

Len

It costs too much, to look like a Gold Wing/Victory & it does not have reverse for that price. I was hoping Honda would have their own concept instead of offering stripped Gold Wing at loaded Gold Wing prices.

DIGGER

I'm not sure if I REALLY like it or if it's just that  this is anybody's first attempt at taking the Valkyrie's place.  If I was in the market for a bike right now I'd sure consider it strongly.   However, my 01 Tourer just turned 70,000 so I got a lot of life left in it......and it's paid for.

Saw it at MPLS cycle show, didn't make me want one, just a Wing with trunk missing, IMHO....
Honda should have learned after the Rune.... give us what we have now with updates like better petcock, bearings, universals, (??), and of course the bigger engine...
