I came across this old photo of a V8 Honda. If they had made the F6B more like this maybe there would have been more positive comments.

The natural harmonics on a flat 6 are actually smoother than on an 8 cyl.  Even multiples of 4 on a 4 stroke result in natural power/vibration peaks.
