Sent them an email. Put a deposit on one a couple of years ago when someone asked them, but they said they would not do them. Maybe they will this time if there is enough interest. :cooldude:

They should do another run of the adjustable passenger floorboards, they're excellent quality and SO handy for different passengers.
When in doubt, ride.

Thanks for the info.

I have the stand but have yet to install it. How hard is it to put the bike up on the stand. Is a grab rail necessary to do so?

Yes you need a grab rail. When I bought mine, it came with the left side and the right was extra. Wish I had bought it as well. Make the back area appear more

This is interesting.  I posted this same notice four months ago after talking with Rivco at the Bikes, Blues, and BBQ rally.

A couple of our more illustrious posters flamed me for even mentioning this potential availability!  I only got a couple of replies and they were't positive.  Where were all of you guys before?

Just received this from RIVCO...

Steve,

I talked to my superiors and we will make a few extra right hand grab rails when if we manufacture the VAL008 center stand again.  They will cost around $49.95 each.  I will keep you updated if anything more develops.  We need 30 pre-paid orders for the VAL008 center stand as it sits right now we have 8 orders.  It will take about 4-5 months to manufacture the center stands.

Does anyone know what the pre-paid price is for the stand?

Sometimes I go through periods where I can't check the board as often, Blues. I also missed your post 4 months back. But if you got flamed for providing that info, that's BS on the part of the flamers. I wish we'd have gotten this going 4 months ago. We'd be closer to getting our center stands. I was told I'm number 6 in an email today. Not sure we can get to 30...but hoping.

I had one on my Interstate and traded it for a couple new Avon fronts I did keep the grab rails cause its not cool to remove chrome from a Valkyrie  :cooldude:  It might help y'all to post this information over on the VOAI as well I'm thinking a goal of 30 will be hard to reach.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Got an email from Chad at Rivco this afternoon with basically the same information as stated above. He said that so far, there are nine people interested. Need to keep letting as many people know as possible to order to reach 30!

It included the left side grab bar only. The right side was an option.

Excellent point, Joe. I was also thinking that we might need the help of the VOAI brothers and sisters. I'm not a member over there..but perhaps someone with dual membership would reach out and post the Rivco offer to their board? It wouild be much appreciated!!

my luck hit an all time high yesterday when i stopped on ebay to see if there were any good deals recently listed and to my surprize at the tiop of the page is a rivco centerstand with the left side grab rail in what looks to be very good condition with a buy it now price of $125.00 with $10.00 shipping and i was the first to view it so i snagged it up and its on its way the only thing it seems to be missing the long adjustable bolt that has the rubber bumper on it but i dont think it will be hard to make my own for it good luck with the quest to get rivco to make another run of them

I do, but because the rear seat is not OEM, it might be a little hard to tell exactly how they would look with a more conventional seat.

mmurffy03: that stand is from their last run. if you look at the upper clamp for the crossbar it is made of flat metal instead of being contoured to the shape of the crossbar. they did not drill and include a th adjustable bumper rod, in my opinion this was a mistake as they added it because the earlier ones were twisting and cracking the crossbar. you'll need to drill and tap a through hole for the threaded rod, but well worth the trouble. just remember to st the bumper so there is a small space between it and the engine otherwise you will transfer all the engine vibration to the frame.

thanks tank i got it today and thought that something was differet when i saw no hole on that crossbar and the intallation instructions said nothing about the bolt but the instructions on dags norway page showed the bolt and how to adjust it i figured it was a later version of the stand but thanks for the heads up im happy with the purchase and felt lucky with price i paid
