East Tennessee was 2 degree's shy of setting a new high that was set back in 1890. My bike has been covered in the garage with a beautiful detail on it , that is until yesterday when I pulled it out for the ride to Deal's Gap, North Carolina. It never rained but the roads was wet until mid day . A local motorcycle club was having a get-to-gether at the pull off just as you enter The Dragon from the south on US 129. This club is open to all bikes however the sport bike riders seem to be the majority since it's somewhat based near The Dragon.Soakin' wet roads and you could hear him coming up by the lake haulin' ass. He came into the curve at the bridge with his elbow damn near draggin' .He passed the group and came back north bound and pulled this at the least 80 mph wheelie and again went into the curve at the bridge with his elbow near dragging . You could see the water from the wet road rooster tail behind him ....To be young again  :o

I was early and they claim as the day warmed up and the roads got dry they had well over 100 folks stop by for food and drink with some tire kickin' throwed in.

If I had a quater for every picture taken here I'd call my boss right now and let him know I'm taking the rest of 2013 off. The over-look on US 129 .....You can still see Thumper's ashes at the base of the rock wall. I did'nt take any pic's of that cause the rednecks have thrown trash everywhere all around him....I think I'll take a trash bag or two my next trip and clean that area up.

" The Money Shot " Taken at Chilhowee Lake on US 129 .

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Pappy!

Thank you  :)  I bought this bike in June 1998 as a Standard it was then as it is today my favorite bike I've ever owned.

:cooldude: :cooldude: Great pic's and an outstanding looking bike Smokinjoe!
I was up in your area in September riding the Blue Ridge and the Dragon; have to admit I'd tend to be a bit timid riding the Dragon wet. You have the best riding in the country in your backyard! Heading back up that way come late spring thaw.

..

Can someone crop the photo tight on the left to remove the rock.

Leave the right cause the dock takes your eyes into the photo.

Just my 2 cents  :cooldude:

If the weather works out Don ( Highbinder ) and I will be hookin' up the weekend of Feb.15-16-17 to scout the ride out. We'll base this ride out of Corbin, Kentucky anyone wanting to join us on this scouting ride is welcome. The roads in this area are outstanding for motorcycling.Right now we are shootin' for the weekend of June 7-8-9 or June 14-15-16 for " The June Ride " ....I'm sure Don will have a cool name to call this ride by then and we are hoping to work with the F6Store again this year for t-shirts .

I'm with ya Jimmy I pushed my pass through The Dragon yesterday alittle more than I should. You can ask anyone that I ride with when the road get's wet Ol' Joe goes into caution mode. I heard that dude coming up by the lake and thought " Damn....That dude is haulin' ass " and when he came into sight and rounded the curve layin' on his side to truthful I thought he can ride but he's crazy  :crazy2:
