Anyone try one of these on their Interstate? Fit and look ? Thanks

Ok -- let's try another angle--what's the consensus on quality of the MC Enterprises chrome. And what's the favorite trunk luggage rack of Valk I/S owners here?

I have the Show Chrome luggage rack on my bike...

It was on the bike when I first saw it...oh...in 2003 or so...I have owned the bike since 2006 and it still looked good with minor fading/scratches...until I decided to try off-roading backwards into a road sign.  The rack (and other parts of the bike) took a hit and was slightly bent.  I ordered a new Show Chrome Rack when HDL was having their winter sale.  It will be going back on the bike once I have all of the parts painted.

Sorry to hear about your mishap. It seems the show chrome rack is quite popular-- perhaps because of its short length--not too much room on top of the Valk trunk. The MC Enterprises rack is 32 " long--so could protrude out the back somewhat....

You don't want to put a lot of weight on the rack no matter who makes it. Not for sure which rack mine came with but it sees more use as a handle to open the trunk than anything else. RIDE SAFE.
Today is the tommorow you worried about yesterday. If at first you don't succeed screw it-save it for nite check.  1964  1968 U S Navy. Two cruises off Nam.

I have that one on mine, was there when I bought the IS. It's worked well for me and still looks pretty good, but I have no idea how long it has been on there. The previous owner said he had a terrible time water-proofing the lid where the rack bolted to it. He ended up using start washers and I've had no problem with it.

I would guess the MC Enterprises rack is popular mostly because there aren't many made for the Valk. The Hondaline version is rare now and has probably been out of production for years. It's also much smaller than the MC version.
When in doubt, ride.
