Rear End Service Links and Parts.

I expect my 98 Std has never had it's rear end serviced with 23K on it. I am looking for some links on how to do the work and where to get the parts.  Anyone know a one stop shop site that has good pics and vender details?  I have the jack stand and 50 moly ready but did not know that I should change out some of the soft parts while im at it. Is like to schedule the work next month.

I have the Honda Manual but it is lacking.

I know this belongs in the tech board so send me to the right place. I have seen reference to Shop Talk article on this but could not find it.

Looked at the link; http://www.valkyrieriders.com/shoptalk/ and viewed the file. Saved it to my hard drive for future ref. I saw a snap ring off of the drive shaft that was not mentioned. It is a great presentation.

Ordered two sets of o-rings/ washer and also a new set of brake pads from bikebandit. Had to go to two separate microfish to get all three o-rings.

I am thankful for all the great people in this forum.

Marcus is the snap ring your talking about at the pinion cup end of the driveshaft? if so it's no big deal. Hold the final drive by the shaft about an in above ground stack some rags up to give it a soft place to land and tap the edge of the cup with a small hammer and the shaft will pull out.

I know you've already got some O-rings coming, but for future reference Carolina Bike and Trike has O-ring packages that can save some $$...
