Does Anyone know what to Call this Piece?

I dropped my bike yesterday and broke off my Kury right foot peg.  I hate to buy the whole thing when I just need that small piece. The arm that comes straight up is bent in and hitting the valve cover. It's cast aluminum and if I try to pry it out some I know it'll pop. Anyone know what to call this piece to order?

Thanks  :)

You are really too close with the camera.

It is hard to figure our what you are referring to.

If I'm reading you right and what I can make out of the picture.

I think you are screwed and will have to get it all.

You are referring to the Jury parts right?

If so call them and tell em what happened, you might be surprised what they will do for ya.

I can't see a thing...(if you posted a picture, it's not coming through here).

Go to Kury's site.  All pegs, clamps and arms are available individually.

You had some extra stuff in the image link...  8)

I can't swear to it but I think you can get a replacement and I believe its called a clevis. They have different types so you will need to make sure you select the right one. The folks at Kury may be able to I.D. it for you.

I'm thinking you are out of luck. You also have the older type of clamp where it attaches to the cycle, Kury switched to a different style. You can probably buy a new arm (without the board), but it will look slightly different than the other side because of the clamp.
When in doubt, ride.

Thanks guys, I'll contact Kuryakyn and see.  :cooldude:

I have a simillar set on my valk and they can be adjusted from where they mount on to the bar under the valve cover. There is a steel piece there that can be bent some to allow more clearance.Hope this helps.

cookiedough

try taking it off the bike and bending it.  Worst it can do is break but is not useable the way it is.

Not to change subject, but I have a bent brake lever on my scooter similar to a standard clutch/brake lever on our bikes, but not as heavy duty of course and smaller.  Are they able to be heated up with say a torch or in the oven or at the very least a hot hair dryer and put into a vice and bent back to normal about 1" and not breaking?  A new one only costs about 10 bucks but wanted any ideas on how to bend it back some without breaking.

Think I know what your showing there but not sure,is the arm about 5 in. bolt hole to bolt hole? And is the arm not solid but twin beams. If so I may have one.

That sounds about right. There is a spline at the base to adjust it. Now that is the piece that is hitting my valve cover, and the piece that broke is at the top piece that bolts to it. I'm thinking maybe 'adapter'? I'll try to get better pics of it.

Thanks  :cooldude:

I see the piece you are talking about now,it has a 1/2 in bolt holding it on and has two roll pin to keep it from turning, you can,t see the roll pins untill you take it off.

After taking a closer look at the picture I see that your adj. on the bottom is different from the one I have, and the piece that is broke on yours is made out of steel on mine, not sure what I have is Kury, probaly won't work. Post pictures of it when you get it off,I don't have a clue how to post pictures or I would post this one.  Good Luck

It has a "spline" at the base where you can adjust anyway you want. No it's not steel but cast aluminum. I wished it was because it probably wouldn't have broke. I'll try to post a pic when I get it off.
Thanks  ;)

Take it off the bike and take a pic of the bad part... I have a lot of parts for them but
everytime I think I know what you're  talking about you change something...

I had the same thing happening to me. Bike fell on its side and pegs bumped into my valve cover.
I was afraid my valves were hit but luckily nothing was damaged. The cover itself is somewhat flexible. After some readjusting, I came up with the position as depicted in the pics. Now the peg will hit the engine bar instead of the cover. Looks not so nice as upright but still comfy for your feet.

Hard to tell from your pic. Is this the part that is broken? If so it is part#8061   Short Magnum Peg Mount with 1/2"-13 Thread

or this part#4568   Serrated Replacement Clevis with Hardware

Arms are on ebay right now http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kuryakyn-6-long-replacement-arms-for-Ergo-Arm-4061-B-STOCK-/130792972308?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e73de6014

As noted above, the broken connector is a CLEVIS.

I cannot tell if any other parts are bent or broken. You can definitely buy a pair of new clevises to fit that setup if that is all you need.  You cannot get one.

The mount clamps are the very best, much better than the usuals, and should be reused if possible.

Your Hwy pegs are Kury Part #4052 (with ISO wings).
http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/974/Ergo-Cruise-Pegs

As stated above, I believe the correct clevises are Part# 8061. (but call Kury and ask what clevis they used on #4052 anyway)

Edit: As far as the bent arm, that part alone is not listed for sale, you can call Kury and ask if they'll sell you one (probably not, you're likely stuck buying a pair too).

Arms appear to be 4061 (4.5") 0r 4060 (6")

FWIW, I have leftover singles of things sold in pairs I have broken one of..... even used the spare once.

Thanks  for all that info and  help. I know now that the Kury # 8061 has to be the Clevis and yes I have the 4.5" arms.. I believe it's not bent but just twisted from the mount that luckly just nicked my valve cover.

TJ, I'm sending you a pm.

Thanks F6BANGER, I did know that but I run into trouble when I try to post multiple pics. I do it exactly like you described, drop down a few spaces, repeat the process and usually I'll get a square with a red X or something  but when I preview it - looks good! Crazy! I'm using Photostash maybe I'll try something else.

Thanks  :cooldude:
