I've been watching these guys for a while......It's cool to watch Mom leave and come back with food for the babies......She will bring back an entire fish.  :cooldude:

Very cool stuff. Their comeback after the banning of DDT has been remarkable. Thanks!

Thanks, Detn8er. That's awesome. I'm not trying to steal your thunder, but I've been watching the Decorah Eagle cam for a couple yrs now. Not sure if you were aware of that one. It's located on property above a fish hatchery in Decorah, Iowa. The following site says they are upgrading their equipment once again this yr with 3 cameras, I believe.
Sadly, 2 of the 3 eaglets that hatched from the Decorah nest last Spring already have been electrocuted before reaching their first birthday.

That's very cool.  A freind lives along the New River here in Beaufort County SC and there are two eagles' nests along that river.  I'll go fishing with him just to see the eagles!  Lovely creatures!

Even when it's empty it's neat just to hear the other birds chirping.

Was in Canada fishing a few years ago and a momma eagle was fishing for her baby, who sat in the nest calling or crying or whatever ya call it. We would catch a fish, stun it and throw it out in the water about 10 feet from our boat. Momma would see it and circle then swoop down and snatch it up and take it to baby.  One of the guys got some great close ups of the whole ordeal.  We did about 4 fish, then decided that was plenty enough of the easy life for her and went on our way.

Thanks for correcting that, Rob. The Decorah site is probably a month or two away from becoming busy. Detn8er's link is a cool one cuz there's already 2 youngens in the next.

Fathertime

They are awesome birds!
We have a mated pair about two miles from us.
Two weeks ago I was pulling out of the driveway and spotted one across the street from me up in a tree looking for lunch.
Magnificent!

Little known fact....the eastern shore on mad and va has the largest concentrated population per acre in the country. We have a few bald eagles. Lol. Beautiful birds.

There is a nest on the property of one of the people we do work for. Really neat to watch. Esp when they are flying over the water.
