Mini Trailer USA pull behind cargo trailer

Does anyone have a trailer from Mini Trailer USA? I'm finding their sale price of $1,075 for their "Shadow" @ 14 cubic feet, or their $1,150 @ 18 cubic feet, "Nomad" hard to ignore. Not many options. What you see is what you get. It looks like you have to do your own license plate light and bracket. Both have independent torsion suspension and nice wheels. American made with 5 year warranty. don't know about a light , but there is a bracket directly below the latch. sticking up from the bumper.

spend the extra and get the 18cuft. mine is 19 and I wouldnt want it any smaller.  Also I recommend this as an upgrade after you get it.

I too saw their sale online. I'd also get the 18 Cu/Ft. Anything wrong with what I see might be water sealing in the frog choakers back East (AZ resident). Weatherproofing and silicone should fix anything.

I have towed a few trailer combinations and wouldnt have a hitch that didnt swivel.
Most motorcycle trailer manufacturers can provide the swivel type.
The connection of the type in the photo is superior to others in that is is a spring loaded tight fit under the ball.
I use a Alko brand which is a universal make.
I tow a camper trailer so have it fitted with load operated hydraulic disc brakes.
As the bike slows a spring loaded ram operates the hydraulics.
Easy to adjust & works well with the bigger load.
Brakes are not that essential if you are only using a light trailer.
Just be aware at times in emergecy stops or wet weather, the trailer may tend to do it's own thing.
Two safety chains are good, but cross them over before attaching to the bike.

I don't care for the swivel piece. As far as I can see it is just a dohickey that serves no real purpose. If you lean your bike so far that it actually puts a bind on the ball you are either laying on your side or you shouldn't be pulling a trailer.

Don't know anything about this swivel ball from experience but I saw this posted about it.   Don't know if it is plausible or not.

"The concern I have with the pivot style ball is if due to some road condition a trailer could perhaps get into some kind of side to side oscillation via the 'pivot' action of the ball. .. The trailer hitch 360 degree swivel looks like a good way to go."

I've only been trailering (behind a bike) for a couple of years.   My trailer has the swivel type hitch.   It works like a charm and I'm glad I have it.

Different strokes for different folks. I have pulled trailers behind a bike for years and have had no swivel and swivel. There is a world of difference. No problems without but at times it let me know it wasn't swiveling. My american legends http://www.bills-trailers.com/trailers/americanlegend/index.asp has a swivel and there is a difference.

I have been pulling trailers for some years now and I have never used a swivle hitch don't see the real need,  but if it make you feel better about it than thats all that matters in my book! a brother of mine has that same trail 19 cu. bought it used at a ralley 800 bucks and he loves it says it pulles real well without issues......on another note brakes mine don't have then but even when pulling light you had better beware of it at all times or it will put you on the ground just my 2 cents hope it helps.

i too have pulled a trailer many years and miles with GW's but not my valk yet.
Be very wary of a hard swerve to miss an old lady running a red light....when you push back on the opposite grip to straighten up after the swerve, the directional momentum of the trailer will put you down.
