I bought this bike before Christmas, The previous owner thought it had bad rings cause it smoked like crazy after his petcock failed and filled the crankcase full of gas. I pulled the motor took it to HGs and we fixed the starter gears that chipped a tooth. painted the motor blk and powder coated a lot of the other parts. Tore into the front end rebuilt the forks and replaced the springs. Serviced the rearend modified the rear fender. Rebuilt the carbs and the petcock. Modified the exhaust cobra 6es cut down and 5" truck stacks. Powder coated stock wheels, Hankook 205-55-16. :cooldude:

But did you fix the smoking engine?

Thanks for the compliments, kind of a low budget project. I still have some tweaking to do on it. It needs a short narrow front fender, some drag bars, and some Velcro for the seat :uglystupid2:

Nice   :cooldude:  I'm not much of a bobber fan but, I gotta tell ya, that's one if the nicest bobbers I've seen.  I agree about the front fender, not so sure about the Velcro though.  ;)

It is however, extremely unforgiving of: inattention, ignorance, incompetence or stupidity.

I think the buddies I was riding with today won't be asking me to ride with them again. Nahh just kiddin :uglystupid2: My buddy asked me to go riding with his club and members of a few other clubs today. 8 Harleys, 1 Texas Bobber, & and a spider. Met at one gas station and then another for the other clubs. Hour and a half waiting for everyone. Finally we left to go to Belles Landing in West Columbia. They stayed there for a while. Then we left to go to West of the Brazos in Damon, stayed there for a long while. Finally we left to go to a bar close to my house, I spit from the group and stopped by the store down the street from the house. Every stop we made including the store by my house 1-4 people wanted to take about my bike. No one even glanced at they hard core bikers toys. Even though I road 110 miles in 7 hours in with a bunch of quiet v-twins I managed coming home feeling good about my $2000 project. I'll think twice about riding, I mean bar hopping with them on the next invite. Oh yeah my baby ran flawless and didn't even hit reserve, with as much head wind as I was pushing.
