Monday I drove the RV to the Adairsville Church of God and off loaded 30 boxes of 10 bags of Grit Chips at the tornado disaster relief center.

Today, again at my suggestion, I drove the RV to the Cobb County Fire Service HQ and donated 4 boxes of 10oz bags to put on the fire truck. Wonder what the Yankees in the Bronx will think of Grit Chips?

Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services is donating a surplus engine to the West Hamilton Beach Volunteer Fire Department.
The engine is a 1992 Pierce Arrow Red Pumper (Engine 34, Vehicle # 3406) with 177,292 miles.
The donation will take place at Fire Headquarters located at 1595 County Services Pkwy. Marietta, on Feb. 6 at 11 a.m.

Cobb Fire and Emergency Services has an ongoing partnership with the Georgia Chapter of the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund.
The Fund has identified a number of departments in the Northeast that suffered the loss of equipment during Hurricane Sandy. One of those departments is located in West Hamilton Beach, New York. This department sustained the loss of their fire engine and currently does not have an operating truck to respond to calls for fire service delivery.
