From what i've seen most if not all politicians have exactly one agenda to take care of-theirs!!  And absoulutely NUTTIN else MATTERS to them.  Too broad a stroke with my brush??    We shall see.  i stiil want to know zackly WHO"gave"them lifetime benefits??  The politicians are the ones i'm asking about and pissed off about.  RIDE SAFE.

They did. If I was allowed to vote for my own salary and benefits I would do the same I suppose. It is just plain wrong.

"Members of Congress are not eligible for a pension until they reach the age of 50, but only if they've completed 20 years of service. Members are eligible at any age after completing 25 years of service or after they reach the age of 62. Please also note that Members of Congress have to serve at least 5 years to even receive a pension.

The amount of a congressperson's pension depends on the years of service and the average of the highest 3 years of his or her salary. By law, the starting amount of a Member's retirement annuity may not exceed 80% of his or her final salary."


That is interesting. I didn't know they had to have a certain amount of years in to get a full pension. Still sounds like a good deal. I have to be in for 35 years to receive a full pension without healthcare. They ARE voting on there salary though. $16,700 in "cost of living raises in the last 6 years! I wish my cost of living was that high!
